HMBANA is a non-profit association of donor human milk banks established in 1985 to set standards for and to facilitate establishment and operation of milk banks in North America. This website provides information on milk banking and how to contact a milk bank to donate milk or to order donor human milk. This site is also a resource for health care providers and others seeking information on HMBANA's resources and services.

HMBANA recently decided to accept corporate sponsorships from selected companies that demonstrate compliance with the WHO International Code for Marketing of Breastfeeding Substitutes, and that strive to increase availability of breast milk for babies.
Our first sponsor, Ameda Breastfeeding Products, has developed an I Breastfeed Because Campaign for World Breastfeeding Week. This Campaign, to run for six weeks, is a donation exchange: for each comment or small video entered on their website, Ameda will donate $1-5 to HMBANA, up to $10,000.
You can help HMBANA by submitting a comment or video -- spread the word. Moms all over the world can help the cause of ensuring human milk for human babies.
(Corporate sponsorship does not constitute product endorsement by HMBANA.)
