Refund Policy and Call for Donations
In light of COVID-19, HMBANA will issue full refunds and waive cancellation fees for the 2020 International Donor Milk Conference. Registrants will receive their refund and notification of it by the end of the month, if not sooner.
Cancelling the conference means a significant financial burden to HMBANA, as we face steep penalties and loss of revenue. But you can help! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to offset the financial loss. With your help, we can continue to feed the fragile without disruption of services.
Cancellation and Refund Details
Regretfully, HMBANA’s 2020 International Donor Milk Conference in Austin, Texas is now cancelled due to concerns related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The decision to cancel was based on several factors. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has advised against unnecessary travel and encouraged cancelling gatherings, when possible. Most recently, the City of Austin banned large gatherings between now and May 1.
Additionally, employer travel bans are impacting the ability to travel by many of our speakers and attendees who are from hospitals and other health institutions. Unfortunately, predictions say that such disruptions might worsen before they improve, thus making rescheduling this year’s conference challenging.

With regard to any flight arrangements, we urge you to communicate directly with your airline or third-party sales agent to explore your options. We regret any inconveniences that this decision might cause. Further, we regret that we will all miss out on seeing each other this year.
